Searching by Country
eBay has created two new ways to search for items on eBay:
- Search for items located in a particular country.
- Search for items that are available to you in a particular country.
Example: Searching for items located in a particular country
If Jonathan wants to search for "Shakespeare" items that are
located in England, he should check the "located" option
in the "Country where item is" box and select "United Kingdom" from the list of countries.
![Search example]()
Only items which met his search criteria and were located in the UK
would appear in his search results.
Note: sellers indicate an item's
physical location when they list an item.
Example: Search for items that are available to you
If Bob is from the
U.S. and wants to search for "Michael Jordan" items available to him,
he can check the "available" option in the "Country where item is" box and select
"United States" from the list of countries.
![Search example]()
The search results would only show items which
met his search criteria and either of the following was true:
- the item was located in the U.S. or;
- the seller was willing to ship internationally
Note: sellers determine an item's availability in an item's terms and
conditions. If the "Will Ship Internationally" box is checked, buyers
from around the world will see your item when they search for items that are
available to them.
